Ask any new mom what their favorite baby product is and they will have a impassioned review of an item that 'saved' them during the those bleary first few months. For some, its the fancy breast pump that at first seemed too expensive and later became the cherished gateway for a few hours rest. For others, its the mechanical swing that allowed them to do some laundry or eat a meal. For me, its the Bare Naked Boppy. A pillow for breast feeding? Oh it's not just for breast feeding. Sure, it provides the perfect little platform to rest your tiny one while she eats. It frees up you hands to do such essential 4 am activities as flipping channels looking for something that isn't an infomercial on TV. The boppy is an appendage, a constant companion. Its good for a million uses, most of which are clearly warned against on the label. Most of all the boppy is part of the ritual of feeding that I found so helpful in establishing breast feeding. The bare naked version allows you to easily wash the cover. The only way I would improve this product is to install a pocket that holds extra burp clothes so you dont have to go running for one in a pinch.

I used a boppy when I nursed my son. It propped him up to just the right height. Before I got it, I had tried to prop him up with pillows on my lap, desperately attempting to get him into a comfortable position. The Boppy is the perfect size to comfortably nurse. "But it has other uses, yes, far beyond that!" It was also great for helping him sit up, propping him to lay on the floor in about the reclining position of a bouncy seat, and as an obstacle when he was learning to crawl. It was our comfort for many months, and I am just about to purchase one for a friend who is expecting. I recommend this product whole-heartedly to anyone with a new baby.

I had the old version of the boppy with my first born and hated it! I had problems with the fit around my waist ( I am a size 10/12) and there was not enough stuffing in the pillow to prop my daughter up to my breast to eat. I had received the new version of the boppy from my mother and decided to give the new version with the 'fits all waists' middle a try. The pillow looked thicker than the old version and it felt like a better fit around my middle. My son is now 14 days old and I have used this pillow everyday to feed him. This pillow does everything that the old version had promised.

The Boppy is an absolute MUST HAVE for every new mom! Even if you are not going to nurse, it helps with supporting the baby during feeding, giving you an extra arm. For me, it was a life saver for those middle of the night feeds, I could rest my son on it, latch him on, recline a bit, and many nights we would both fall back asleep! I buy this item for everyone I know who is expecting a baby now!

I love this product because, it made it so much easier to nurse my child right after having her, without the pressure or strain on my belly. My daughter loved this pillow she was able to sit up and be very alert at what was going on around her when sitting in the middle of the pillow. It had great support for her back and head (especially for those ages when they cant situp on their own yet) My daughter still takes this pillow around with her everywhere she goes ad she is beyond need for this pillow but its a great pillow for her to lay back and watch TV with.

I bought this so that I don't have to wash my boppy so often and it does protect the boppy well. I was afraid the cover may not be very soft since it was meant to be under another cover but it's very soft and can be used by itself. It's a great cover for the price!

this cover protects the pillow from getting wet and staining easily.
it's truly machine washable and it did not shrink when thrown in the dryer (low temp).

Overall, I think this product would be fine for home use as it is soft, easy to use, and does resist water. However, with exposed, prolonged exposure to water (i.e. spot cleaning), the water did soak through. I was hoping the surface would be able to be wiped down between uses for institutional purposes...but this is definitely just for home use.

I believe every new parent has the "one thing they would not live without," well the Boppy is mine. I use it while breastfeeding and my husband uses it while bottle feeding. We have also used it for propping up the baby for cute pictures!

To add my two cents to what other reviewers have said, this pillow makes it so much easier to get your baby in position to nurse. It really is a must-have for breastfeeding mothers. I like this slipcover too -- very cute and easy to care for. Get two slipcovers through, so you can still use the Boppy when one cover is in the wash (and believe me, those can get pretty messy fairly quickly).

This was a well thought out give for my niece and my 7th great niece. The boppy is a great invention in that it frees up the parents hands to tend to the infants needs. The child will quickly grow out of the boppy so while I see its practicality I cannot see the added expense but nonetheless. My niece is a spoiled brat and know this little one will be to.

I bought a nursing pillow when I had my first son but then I gave it away. I'm glad I did. The first pillow was not a Boppy pillow. It was smaller and it felt harder. It did serve its purpose. It made breastfeeding/bottlefeeding comfortable and it reduced back strain for me (I've read other reviews that say otherwise but personally, this pillow helped a lot. I'm 5'3" with a small frame). I believe it was comfortable too for my baby. I received this Boppy pillow and I thought, if the first pillow worked, the Boppy will work even better since it's bigger and it feels more comfortable (soft but supportive). I also like the cars design (my first son does too!). I haven't used it yet since I'm still awaiting the birth of my second son who's coming in the next few weeks. The Boppy is more expensive than the other nursing pillows but I received a $7.00 refund check since I sent in that card for a free magazine subscription that came with the Boppy for a refund (I figured for the next few months, I won't even have time to read). I also shopped around and Amazon has the best price since you can get the Boppy from them without tax or shipping charges.

Maybe not an essential to breastfeeding, but once you get one you'll wonder how you could have survived without it. I didn't use mine because my lactation consultant showed me how to arrange a few pillows, telling that was better than any expensive nursing pillow. And I thought, "this works, why mess with a good thing?"
But after weeks of struggling with unusually long nursing sessions with my latch-challenged son, my husband says, "Why don't you try the boppy?" Why? Because I have my carefully arrange pillow system, thank you. And this is as comfortable as it's going to get. But I gave it a shot and WOW! After the first time I was hooked. I didn't have to support my baby's body as much, and within a couple of weeks was even able to nurse with one hand free.
The Boppy pillow allows me to sit in many more positions, since now I only have to worry about ONE pillow and can easily adjust it. Also, now that he's a little older, I use it to prop him up to sit and face me. Also, he likes to lay on it with his chest supported, which frees his hands for grabbing fun things to shove in his mouth.
I chose this particular nursing pillow because it doesn't have any straps or crazy add-ons. I just wanted something simple. I chose this cover design because it's super soft and thick. I'm sure it feels nice on his bare back when he nurses in just a diaper. And with all the adorable baby stuff you get as a mommy, it's nice to have a classier, more adultish design. My son loves the three little bears on it and tries to eat them.
The covers washes well. I wash it in cool water and drip dry. It dries quickly, within a few hours. I haven't found that I need a second cover.
I would definitely recommend this pillow to any mother, especially if you're nursing. Have fun with it! You'll be surprised by how such a simple design is so awesome.

The boppy is one of the greatest accessories ever to have been added to the "must haves" when expecting a baby. It is comfortable and shaped appropriately for the contour of your body when breastfeeding and/or bottle feeding. It is also great for an infant to sit in when parents are not using it for feeding time.

This boppy is really nice. I loved my previous boppy but it was one of the originals that didn't have a slipcover. After multiple washings it became lumpy. I was so suprised when this boppy came because it was super soft. Also, I thought the script said "3 little bears", but it really says "my little bears" and has a little picture of two boy bears with a girl bear in the middle. It was perfect for my family. I have two boys and a girl in the middle! I thought that was extra cute! I can't wait to see how it washes, but so far I am happy with my purchase.

Excellent product- very high quality and we found it very useful for the first 6 months till baby outgrew it.
We even used it in a trans-Atlantic flight from the US to Europe. Very convenient: WE JUST WRAPPED THE BOOPPY AROUND OUR HIPS and baby slept happily on the boppy (prefereed it over the bassinet)
Don't hesitate to buy this - the version with the soft boa slipcover and the Teddy bears. It is certainly worth the money.

I wanted to get a few new covers for my Boppy with my new baby on the way and the Emily's Garden cover struck me as being very cute and not too "pink" as some of the other girl covers are. The quality and texture of this cover is the same as other Boppy covers, which I have used before without issue. I'm expecting this will wash and wear as well as they do.
The only thing I would caution on is that the picture of the item (not just on Amazon but other sites as well) is almost beige or a light tan. In reality, the background color of this cover is white. I'm okay with that, but it will show dirt a little easier than I had anticipated when I placed my order.
Bunnies are not brown

The bunnies in this Boppy cover are totally not brown, the bigger one is pink and the smaller one is orange. Also, I found two flaws in the fabric, but they are not real noticeable, and the colors are slightly more muted than what it shows in the picture on my computer. Overall, I'm still pretty happy with the product. (written by the mommy-to-be)

This pattern is kind of retro, in a fun way. Cleans well, my daughter spit up all over it, and you'd never know. The cotton fabric got softer in the wash as well. Subtle white dotted lines are all over the pillow (if you look closely, you can see them). The single fish is red. The "school" of three are orange. The dragonflies and the stripes on the frogs are also orange. Background is a nice aqua blue, I thought it would be more green. Pillow is just like every other Boppy. I only gave it four stars because the zipper is a bit lumpy.
