Exactly what we needed.

I liked the idea of the Space Saver for our 4 month old daughter because 1) we didn't have to purchase another piece of "furniture" to clutter up our already tight eating spaces, 2) it was dishwasher safe, and 3) it had reclining features and the tray adjusts to her size as she grows older (and chubbier, I suppose!). Needless to say, this product satisfied all our needs. AND, by far this is the cutest design Fisher Price came up with - gender neutral as well. Things I discovered: it is VERY easy to "install" (if you call snapping a fastener to the back and under the chair "installing"). It is sturdy. The cover is machine washable and can be removed/wiped easily. The tray is very roomy for toys or keeping prying hands away from bowls filled with food. Needless to say, we are 100% satisfied with this product: highly recommend.

It adjusts to many different configurations and is super convenient for feeding infants who need to recline a bit. The seat is cloth but does wipe clean with a wet rag. The tray is easy to take on and off and is not too big to rinse off in the sink. The design is exactly as pictured and so adorable!

I wanted wooden but ended up loving this plastic contraption.

Reviewed by: stinkerbean, big east city
Review Date: 2008-09-27

I searched and searched and searched for an alternative to a big, plastic, cartoon-themed high chair but kept coming back to the supreme quality and functionality of the Fisher Price Rainforest Highchair. And, you can't beat the price for something that will be plastered with mushed food.

I pined away for a Tripp Trapp or Svan wooden high chairs because of their lovely design qualities but kept coming back to the reality that my 6-month old needed a tray and more support than those chairs could offer. Plus, I wasn't really ready to spend $300 just so it would look good in my dining room.

So, I told myself to just suck it up and buy the ugly one. It was an easier decision when I vowed to myself that I would upgrade to a European wooden chair when she was more ready to eat at a table with us. I was burned before on a infant bouncer/rocker that had high design and a high price but proved to be useless in the end. It looked damn good, but our baby hated it.

What sold me on the FP Rainforest model was:
-Baby Bargain's review
-5 point harness
-Crotch bar so they can't slide out when you're unbuckling them
-Tray can be nestled up close when they are sitting so the food doesn't slide into their lap
-Tray liner that can be put in dishwasher
-Straps that can be put in dishwasher
-Seat cover that can be pretty much hosed down

The only thing that bugs me about the chair is that the brakes on each wheel are always getting bumped and thus put into the locked position accidentally. But, all in all, it's not a big deal at all.

And, as for the cartoon theme and colors I dreaded? It's really not that bad. honestly, and it could be worse. I could be numb to these things now though ... I do have an exersaucer in my living room, so what was I worried about?

[...]

Other chairs I seriously considered:
-Stokke Tripp Trapp
-Chicco Polly

BUY this high chair and stop worrying about the style. Think function, function, function when it comes to something you will be using several times a day, every day for many, many days to come.

It works!

How much can you write about a high chair? My daughter fits in the seat. It looks comfortable, though I haven't tried it myself yet.

The tray goes on and off fairly easy with one hand. Looking at the hardware though doesn't give me much confidence this will last more than one child.

The tray insert works well and makes clean up much easier. Would be nice if they included 2 inserts, but I guess just having one makes sure I clean it sooner.

My daughter loves the toy that attaches to the tray. It really helps keep her amused while we prep her food and she goes out of her way to hunt it down when she's just playing and not in the seat.

Assembly was fairly easy and the instructions were clear. I was amazed they were able to break this down into as many parts as they did. If you liked Erector Sets as a kid you'll like putting this together. It took about 30 minutes and hardly any foul language.

Well the first chair I bought was a Graco Harmony 2 years ago (the pooh one from walmart) Though over all I was very pleased with it I was disapointed to realize LATER that the one handed tray release did not work properly. I really loved that chair but between the tray not working (you could still use 2 hands)& it not wanting to slide all the way up to our table (the legs are close to the end) unless I removed the infant bar (but had to put it back each time to use the tray) being pregnany with number 2 I decided to look for a new one.

I looked around a bit & found this chair at target... I LOVED the design & $100 wasn't too bad, but more then the $75 I had spent on the Graco... I was pleased to find one used on Craigslist for $50... it was only a month old but they just didn't have room for it in their tiny apartment. I brought it home & my son LOVES it!!!! Some of the great features...

*Easy to adjust & remove harness system (also all ATTACHED... so you can loose on of 5 straps!)
*Bigger wheels, which can even roll on carpet!
*A very popular toy that is easier to use then the previous model aquarium one
*SUPER Easy to fold & very compact to store!!! Fits in out linen closet when not in use! Legs folded, seat at low position its ABOUT 3-3.5" tall & only about 18" wide... MUCH smaller then others.
*Very light weight & a slightly smaller straightline frame... easier for moving around the house
*7 GREAT height adjustments & super easy to change them!
*slimmer design & adjustable height allow it to slid up to most tables & counters

The best part... my 18 month old LOVES the fact that when its lowered to the lowest height he can climb into it himself!!!! He loves being a big boy.

This is totally worth the $100 bucks new, I would recommend it to anyone!

I love this high chair. It is really easy to clean and my baby loves the bright colors. It comes with two toys, a teething toy and a rainforest multi-sound tree. The teething toy is heavy and can be a hazard if you little one likes to wave it around like mine. The tree is wonderful and keeps her interest while I get things ready/clean up. I use it on a hardwood floor and it rolls very easily. The tray sometimes doesn't lock into place, so you have to double check it. All in all, a great chair for baby.

I researched long and hard before buying this highchair. I"m pretty obsessive about choosing baby products, so it's no easy feat to settle on something. I needed something that was fun for my baby, easy to use, versatile, and fairly inexpensive. Voila. My husband and I put it together in about 15 minutes. We started sitting our daughter in it when she was almost 6 months old, and it was perfect for her needs. She's pretty chunky, and fit in there no problem, with the straps on the lower setting. The recline feature is helpful as well, since different babies will feel comfortable in different positions for eating. My daughter loves the toy that comes with it; her little face gets all concentrated as she bats at it and makes the pieces spin. I wish it were a little easier to secure to the tray; the suction cup is no match for a determined baby. I love that the tray has a snap-out feature, which is much easier for our smaller dishwasher, and makes cleaning much easier. The fabric is bright and fun and holds baby's interest, and is machine washable, thank god. I also like that it's fabric, and not vinyl; the components in vinyl are so bad for baby to be breathing in. The straps are easy to remove and can be thrown in the dishwasher as well. The wheels seem to lock and release just when I need them to, and I can pull the chair from the carpeted dining room into our tile kitchen, and all around the house, with one hand and minimal steering and effort. It's relatively compact, and folds for storage when needed. I would definitely recommend this over the higher-priced model that Fisher Price makes.

I had been looking at high chairs for a bit before I decided on this one and I am very happy with it. It's a very bright and cute little chair. The ears on the giraffe are 3D I guess and my son loves turning around to bat at them, which can be annoying when you're waiting there with a spoonful of peas but its cute enough to forgive. I liked the chair pad a lot more than other chairs, it seemed much more comfy for my boy than the thin vinyl covers others had. People claim those vinyl covers are easier to clean but I haven't had any trouble with cleaning mine. I keep baby wipes nearby to wipe my sons face and hands while I feed him and I've not needed anything else to clean the pad. Even when I don't notice he's smeared something on the chair and it's dried up its a snap to clean off.

I was torn between getting a more expensive version which had green feet and giraffe ears which popped off the chair, but went the economical route. So glad I did. The chair is great. Our 9 month old loves the bird, giraffe, and monkey (luckily there are no ears for him to grad or distract him). It's very easy to adjust the height and backrest. He loves the toy and it's easy to clean after meal time. I'd say the only downside is the harness on the chair. Instead of clipping the shoulder and chest straps together you need to squeeze their arms through the harness. My son doesn't enjoy his arms being threaded through. Still well worth the money.

Review Date: 2010-04-28

I got this high chair for my son when he turned 3 months old. Since he wasn't able to sit up on his own yet, the reclining feature was especially good! It has 3 different positions, and allows my son to sit with all of the "big people" at the table.
As he moved in to getting baby food, I have had no problems with cleaning as of yet. The chair pad is cute, and wipes off easily. The only part I have wanted to be able to clean more easily is the straps, but they do come off for throwing in the wash. I do wish Amazon had an extra pad and set of straps so that one would be going through the wash when necessary.
On other reviews I saw, some people complained about the wheels locking when you don't want them to. I have had this happen also, but because the locking tabs are colored against the cream colored wheels, it is easy to see which one is the culprit and remedy the problem.
The toy is cute, but my son can't reach it on the tray or if we have the tray off and it is on the table in front of him, and this is rather frustrating for him.
We haven't used the tray a lot yet, as he is not to the point of self-feeding. Overall, I definitely would buy it again, especially because we got it for such a good price here.

Whenever we visited my sister-in-law, I would just sit at the table with my 9 month old on my lap. After she told me repeatedly to do something about it, I purchased this seat. It arrived 2 days before Christmas, and we used it for the holiday visits/dinners. My son is 9 months, and this worked out great for feeding him. It folds up small enough to just leave in the car, and I like it better than having to try and attach a booster to someone's table. I had a little trouble with the tray (my son knocked it off), but I didn't read the instructions. I'm sure if I read the instructions it would have been fine. It wasn't necessary at the time, so I still give this one 5 stars. By the way, my son is very big for his age (95 percentile), and he fits without any problem despite the seat looking small.

All of my friends hated their highchairs, complaining that they were way too bulky and expensive and that they got rid of them at the first opportunity. I wanted a highchair of some sort and happened upon this in a store. It is made like the adult portable chairs whose seat pulls up to draw the legs in and then fits into a bag for carrying, though this seat's bag is a part of the chair and allows for bib storage. This is not the portable seat to take into a restaurant; we use it for every meal, everyday, as it moves easily so that our son can watch us cook and then move to the table. It puts him about two inches higher than our chairs, so he feels apart of the "action" at the table. Best yet, it is no larger than a chair and the color/design less obtrusive. All of this and he is comfortable and it cleans easily without too many cracks to collect food.

We originally bought this as a travel high chair to take with us when we traveled. However, it has become our new everyday high chair! Our son began eating solids at 4 months and we wanted him to have a high chair but the standard ones are all too big. We bought the cosco foldable high chair, which is great, but baby doesn't fit so well in it (slides around and eats in a semi-reclined position). I'm sure as he gets bigger we will eventually use it but for now the Baby Go seems to fit him perfectly. It is very narrow so his whole body is supported and he can sit up without slumping. He can also access food easily on the tray, which encourages self feeding. Wipes clean easily and stores in the closet nicely when not in use. Very light-weight and portable (even has a carry handle). A must-have for early eaters and on-the-go parents.

Cute and functional!

Reviewed by: K. Watters, Utah
Review Date: 2008-02-08

Reasons we chose this highchair:
1. Folds up
2. Color/design
3. Extra seat cover
This purchase was a truly pleasant surprise among the many not so pleasant surprises when it comes to baby gear! The reasons we chose this highchair lived up to our expectations and beyond.
The Contempo models (we bought the Birkshire color which doesn't seem to be available but was brown like the Kasbah one) fold surprisingly flat. And they fold easily. I was worried folding would be a chore and therefore wouldn't happen, but it's easy enough that it happens after every use at our house. It is not a one-handed process, but it is quick and easy. In its folded position, this highchair would slide along side a fridge or into a pantry or broom closet. We keep ours in a small space next to our pantry cabinet.
We liked the colors and designs of the Contempo models because they weren't cutesy and bright and fit better into our kitchen and dining room and didn't stand out like the uninvited elephant in the room.
I loved the idea of having an extra seat cover when I read about the Contempo and I have found it very convenient to always have a clean one ready, since you KNOW they are gonna get messy. I was a little dismayed the first time I tried to switch the covers but after doing it a couple of times, it is plenty easy and convenient. I guess I should note that I strayed from the recommendations of only wiping these covers and spot cleaning and I have been throwing them in the washer on a cool/gentle cycle. They seem to come out great! I just hang them to dry and it doesn't seem to take long because of what they're made of. I also admit that I didn't really read the instructions for removing the seat cover the first time and so I probably could have had an easier time.
My ONE complaint about this chair is the tray insert....ours came with an insert that goes on the main tray which is smaller and easier to put in the dishwasher or sink than washing the main one, BUT my baby figured out the first time in the chair (at 10 months) that she could lift it off and throw it on the floor. I thought it would get forgotten and she would get used to it staying there but she didn't and after a month or so I gave up and put the insert away.
I haven't had any staining problems some people mentioned in reviews of the Graco chairs - the tray being easily stained by colored food - but I also wipe or rinse the tray immediately after a meal and don't let food sit on it at all.
As a side note, for cleaning baby items like this with a lot of spots where food and stuff get stuck and hidden, I have a steam cleaner with a little power nozzle that focuses the steam and it works great! Plus, the steam sanitizes surfaces - although I still use a germ spray for in between major cleaning.
One concern we've had as parents is the possibility of a baby pulling the folded chair over on top of themself. It is skinny in its folded position and could topple over if left in the open or unprotected on one side.
Overall, we are very happy with our Graco Contempo highchair!

Perfect highchair with tons of features!

We purchased this chair for our 4 month old. I have tested and looked at many highchairs and this one was best for us. I love the recline feature as my baby can have her bottle reclined. I like the compact design as it folds very slim. It is constructed very well and does not wobble. The seat can be lowered to any height so you can pull it up to the table and have your child eat with the rest of the family. The vinyl cover pattern is dark so it hides any stains and blends perfectly with our kitchen decor.

It comes with a built in smaller tray underneath the larger removable tray and both are great and easy to use. I like that there is a divider attached to the smaller tray so that my baby will never slide out of the chair. The restraint system is very easy to use and can be undone with one hand. You have a choice whether to use the shoulder straps or not. I have purchased a couple of graco removable toys at Babies R Us that I insert into the two holes on the small or large tray. This keeps my baby occupied during her feedings.

The only possible drawback (not an issue for us) is if you have a very large/chubby baby. It might be a tight fit so check it out at the store first. Other than that it's the perfect chair and looks very stylish. I would definitely buy this one again.

We really love this high chair. We have a small kitchen and it folds up nicely to slip between our refrigerator and cabinet. Only three minor annoyances. First, the locks on the front wheels lock themselves randomly. I could be rolling it across the floor and one or both will lock. Second minor annoyance is that the attached small tray is just that: attached. It does not come off, which at times makes getting my kiddo into the seat a bit difficult. Finally, to collapse the same tray is somewhat tedious. We felt that despite these things, we would definitely buy this chair again. Great quality and value.

Finally, style and function at the same time

Reviewed by: ramblin, Los Angeles, CA United States
Review Date: 2007-08-14

Finally a highchair made by folks who not only have a great sense of design but also must actually have kids!

1) The fact that there are no crevices or corners to trap food should've been the most obvious concept in highchairs, but no other manufacturer has bothered to implement that idea until now. I no longer have to bring a highchair outside to hose down with a pressure washer and a toothbrush - I can clean the Flair with babywipes and one hand!

2) The pedestal base is a welcome change from the A-frames of other highchairs that were not only trip hazards but also a pain to clean. The smooth pedestal easily wipes clean with the aforementioned baby wipes (or Lysol wipes for the tough stuff). The pneumatic lift is to other highchairs' height adjustment as power seats in your car are to non-powered seats. It's not only more fun to use, but makes for a better fit, too.

3) The waterproof seat pad (a closed-cell-type foam cushion of the type seen on some boats) is another simple concept that until now hadn't been implemented by other highchair makers. I no longer have to throw a highchair seat in the laundry after every meal because some manufacturer thought it was a bright idea to make it out of cloth so it could have ruffles. This one wipes clean with little effort, and it's removable so you can get around the edges.

4) The fact that the harness is removable for cleaning is yet another genius move that would've been obvious to any parent but seems to have been lost on other highchair manufacturers. Bravo, I say. It's also comfortable for my daughter, and really strong. She definitely puts it to the test, and it's never even given me a scare.

5) The design is simply beautiful, but at a price point that competes with highchairs that are far less practical and much more ugly. Finally, you don't have to shell out $600+ for something beautiful, and you don't have to sacrifice function for style (or vice versa).

6) The tray liners are a great concept, but I only wish a) there were 3 of them included (instead of only 2) so I can do just one dishwasher load at the end of the day, and b) the liners covered the whole surface of the tray. As they're made now, the tray's outer rim is partially exposed, so that you end up having to wash the tray by hand anyway (it's not dishwasher safe for some reason) which seems to defeat the purpose of the liners. It's a small issue which only comes to light because the chair is so outstanding in so many other ways, and I'd still buy this chair if I had to do it over again.

7) How many other companies give 10% of their profits to children's charities? I loved this chair so much I also bought Boon's Frog Pod and Flo faucet cover for the bath. What a great company. They deserve success.

1. It is very easy to clean unlike other high chairs.
2. It looks very fahsionable and the color is great
3. It can let you adjust to any height that you wish...
4. It is super easy to install (I found out that afterward of course)

Great Highchair

Review Date: 2007-11-18

Okay... admittedly, our prior highchair was the worst as far as cleaning (Peg Perego) but this thing is a dream to clean. It takes so little time that I find myself sitting there rubbing it with the washcloth after it's already clean becuase I'm so used to it taking 10 times as long, and never really coming clean in the cracks and crevices until you disassemble the thing.

So it's completely a joy to clean and it moves around so easily on the wheels. We move our child a lot around the kitchen while we're cooking and it's perfect because it's so simple and smooth.

I had two concerns prior to buying it: the small size of the tray (the Peg Perego tray is huge) and the fact that the chair itself seemed small and I was afraid it would be too small for an older child (our child is 16 months). Well, I love the small tray. In fact, I think it's better because the baby learns to contain his food in a smaller place, much like a plate, and not spread it everywhere. Secondly, it's so easy to clean and the tray insert that goes over the main tray is so eaesy to drop in the dishwasher (it comes with two of those). And the seat itself is plenty big. The tray is a little low, believe it or not, but it's fine and it doesn't matter if food drops down because it is SO EASY TO CLEAN.

Overall, I love the sleekness of it, it's a nice, refreshing change. I love how easily it moves around and I love, love, love how amazingly easy it is to clean. Gone are the days of scrubbing in one place to get something off the highchair. The texture of the plastic just swipes clean right away. I have never had to scrub one thing. It literally takes seconds.

So... if you want easy cleanup and a pretty neat looking highchair, this is the chair for you. It's so much better than traditional chairs, with all the crevices, etc. And don't worry about the molded seat being removable and thus there being a crevice for food, it lifts right up so you can quickly and easily swipe your washcloth underneath it and get it spotless in a matter of seconds. It's actually an ingenious design.

We'll use this chair for the next kid too, and I only wish we had it from the beginning. So much aggravation could have been avoided and so much time saved!

Excellent high chair

Review Date: 2009-09-16

I needed a high chair for my third child as I'd given away my original Graco high chair. After spending a few hours reading reviews and comparing prices, I decided on this Boon model. I'm so glad that I did! First of all, even though my taste does not run to the ultra contemporary, I think that this chair looks rather cool. (I love the available colors!) I must say that the two features that sold me on this high chair were the ability to clean it up thoroughly and quickly, and the ease of being able to raise and lower the height hydraulically.

When the box arrived, I (a ten year stay at home mom with no particular engineering skills) had the box opened and the chair assembled in fewer than 10 minutes. The instructions are amazingly clear - the Boon copywriter is a genius. I then placed my 6.5 month old daughter (16 lbs., 27.5 in) in the seat and secured her with the straps. I can see where a shorter baby may not be adequately restrained with only the straps, as the straps at their shortest were almost a bit loose. But the tray popped on and I was much more comfortable with the safety factor. Some reviewers have written that they weren't pleased with the two handed tray operation, but I have no trouble at all removing the tray with only one hand. This chair includes two removable plastic trays that are very convenient to pop in the dishwasher; actually, even if two of the top (clear)trays are dirty, the actual bottom tray is still usuable on its own.

This high chair is an absolute breeze to clean up. Sure, it's not as padded as some other brands, and it doesn't recline, but I am not raising my daughter to learn to eat her meals in a Barcalounger. I want her upright and engaged in the business of eating, and then I want to clean her and her seat with a minimum of effort. My old high chair required a time consuming crevice search with the vacuum and a lot of surface area cleanup with the Clorox wipes. This chair is an environmentally friendly damp washcloth wipe and I'm done. Woo-hoo! Plus, the small tray is teaching her to confine her food to a reasonable area - we eat out a frew times a week, and it's important that our baby not monopolize all available table space. Oh, and the straps are easily removable and washable. In short, this is a great high chair and I highly recommend it!

No regrets for this purchase

The chair was exactly what we were looking for. Our dining area is fairly small so using our existing dining chair does save space. The booster chair feels secure as it secures both behind and under the dining chair with buckle straps. It also has non-skid rubber feet on the bottom of all four corners. The 3-point to 5-point harness is helpful for keeping the baby in place. We were using one of those cheapy plastic block booster chairs and our 7-month old kept slouching underneath the tray. The contoured seat in the Space Saver High Chair helps to prevent that.

The adjustable height was useful for raising the tray to just above our table level so we could slide the whole chair underneath when not in use. I'm not sure when we'd recline the seat, but I guess it's a nice option to have.

The chair reminds me of a car seat, and as such, keeps our baby in place while feeding. The one-handed release of the tray and the highly adjustable settings are convenient options. I don't think I could ask for anything more out of a booster chair. Perhaps a built-in iPod adapter with speakers built into the tray or something. Just kidding :P

The model I purchased is the J5933, but there is another model, L1907. According to a couple of customers who researched them, the differences are basically color. Kudos to them for researching them and clearing that up.

We ordered these chairs when we were expecting twins, because we didn't have any room for 2 full-size high chairs. These work great on our dining room chairs and the girls are very comfortable. My husband uses them fully reclined to feed the girls bottles at the same time. This has been a life saver -- if we can't feed them at the same time there is a lot of scremaing.

These are great little chairs and I'm sure we'll use them for a long time!

I am much happier since converting my twins to these high chairs. The seat adjusts for the smaller babies and also works as a booster seat for toddlers! I had ordinary high chairs in the kitchen and always had this large contraption in the way! Not anymore! Also, I have found that there is enough space between the back of this highchair and my kitchen chair to store the tray when not in use. Without the tray, you can push the seat right up to the table for storage. You feel like your kids are actually eating with you at the table. I also feel it has great safety features. Not only the seatbelts, but there is a high divider that sticks up between the legs to prevent child from sliding out. The tray goes off and on easily as well. Wish I had purchased this a long time ago!

If you are having trouble deciding between a traditional high chair or a booster-style, strap-on chair, your search has come to an end. As you would expect with a high chair, this product has a convertible 5- or 3-point harness, a cushioned seat, a one-hand-release tray, a reclining seat, and a seat that moves up and down. Like a booster seat, this product is compact, easy to clean, and can be pulled up to the table when baby is older and only needs a little boost.

Other customers might want to know that the cushioned seat is made of wipeable vinyl with fabric trim. I was worried that the trim would become hopelessly stained, but so far so good. Also, this product does not fold and carry super-conveniently as some of the hard plastic models do. However, these are very minor gripes with a product out of which I expect to get years of use.

Fantastic - IM IN LOVE!!

We got the high chair delivered the day my baby girl turned 6 months old. I am so happy we did! I researched high chairs for months, thus being the reason we didnt get one sooner. I was back and forth between this one and the Fisher Price Zen, seeing as I have the Zen swing and bouncer..and love them.. Ultimately I went with this one because of the postive reveiws, the easy to clean, the options and the smaller foot print.
This thing is more like a 10 in 1 than a 4 in 1
First of all, it was so easy to put together, Im the mom, I did it myself in about 10-15 minutes. I wondered if it would be high enough for my counter height table.. to be level with us while we are eating. If it went up one more height adjustment it would be perfect, but I love everything else about so much that its easy to forgive. It also goes super low, so she can see everything going on down near the floor if we are just all hanging out in the living room. Its obviously perfect for our formal dining room also, its a regular height table. I love the leatherish seat cover, its soft and very easy to clean, and the printed insert is also an adorable pattern.
Ive read the reviews about the snack tray being to far from their baby.. I noticed that too - EXCEPT.. you can adjust how car the try slides in and out from your baby - which is fantastic! Also.. there are pretty much 3 trays in all. The clear plastic cover that you can put in the dishwasher, the tray without the cover and the small snack tray.
It comes with the second toddler booster which is seperate from the chair, so you need to have a place to store it if you arent using it with a second child.
Overall, I love this chair, its modern, yet not too over the top - its trendy with nice color tones and not too bright and crazy like a lot of baby toys/entertainers are.
Oh - a note about the foot rest, you feel as if you might break it when installing, just give it some force and it snaps right in.

It was worth waiting for!

We waited for this highchair to come off the assembly line and we are glad we waited for it. It looks like it'll carry us from infant to toddler 'plus'. (highchair, youth chair, booster) It took 15 minutes to put together, which wasn't bad. It rolls around smoothly which is wonderful. We love the adjustable heights - it is so easy to go up and down depending on our needs. We like the big tray AND the small tray. I can see where both are handy. It adjusts to reclining easily too. Our child is 5 months old and is enjoying being "up" with the big people, instead of sitting on the floor in a bouncey seat. Now he can join me making dinner in the kitchen and then be rolled to the table. Now we feel like a real family having dinner together. sort of....

I hesitated to buy this chair because my daughter is almost 2 but I am so glad I did! We didn't like our previous two highchairs but this one had everything we were looking for without being ridiculous looking. It seems comfortable, easy to clean, reclines, safe, etc. I love that I can use the booster while visitors can use the highchair. It will be perfect for any family with a toddler and a baby. I have never seen a chair that is multiple uses that can be utilized at the same time. My daughter, who does not like being strapped down to anything, is in love with the chair.
The chair was easy to put together and even easier to convert. I do not like that the t-bar is attached to the tray but have found that leaving the snack tray attached takes care of this problem (there is plenty of room to get baby in and out with snack tray attached).

Definately the best chair I have seen...worth the extra money.

THE Best Highchair EVER

Reviewed by: Jill L. Levenhagen, Indianapolis, IN
Review Date: 2009-07-27

We love this highchair. We have a 4 year old and an 8 month old. This is our 3rd highchair.
Features we love:
Fit: This chair FITS my infant daughter. She fits in this chair without the extra insert way better than in the basic Evenflo chair we had before. I only use the 3-point harness and let her shoulders be free and she sits at a correct level so her arms can move around well and she can lean and reach for things on the tray. Many other chairs have a real problem with fit. So, I do believe that with the insert, this is the perfect chair to start your 4 month infant in for feeding. The insert will make them more secure, kind of like their carseat.
Tray Insert: With our other chairs, the tray clicks down into the larger tray all the way around...you can remove it for cleaning. Fine. But I always hated that food got into the crack nearest to the baby so I couldn't just wipe it down...I HAD to remove it to get out all the gunk. The tray on this is so smart...the edge closest to the baby wraps all the way down and clicks under the lip of the large tray...one smooth surface where all the food is landing. I love it!
Upholstry: I love this leather look. It cleans easy and is really cushy. The part that is designed to match other Graco gear is just an insert for small infants. The rest of it is just a tan color and it matches anything.
Sturdiness: I can't tell you how much safer I feel my daughter is in this...it is solid. I never felt terribly comfortable reclining her in other seats, but this one is made well and I am not worried.
Versitality: This is one of the best parts. We bought this and now we are using both the highchair for our 8 month old daughter and the booster for our 4 year old son. Here is how it works. Basically it is like a high chair with 2 bases. Both bases are toddler chairs themselves - I will call them the rolling base and the chair base. So, you have a toddler seat attached to the rolling base, and another toddler seat that you can attach with straps to a chair, the chair base. Then you can take the separate highchair part and click it into the rolling base or to the chair base, whichever you like. Then the unused base becomes a toddler chair. One might think that you could sit 3 children...2 toddlers in the bases and then an infant in the highchair part, but the highchair really needs to click into a base because it is not designed to be on its own. The highchair with the chair base would be great to take when traveling, especially if you just use the snack tray and leave the large tray at home. And the toddler seat that is attached to the highchair frame is truly good for getting under tables with a lip because of it's low sides, unlike many toddler seats that come up too far and you can't scoot them under the table.
Worth noting...I see no problem with the snack tray. At 8 months, my daughter fits fine and it is half as big as the tray...a great size snack tray! And it has it's own separate cup holder. You really don't need the snack tray before they start feeding themselves, so I can't see it being a problem at the age you would need it.
Adjustable foot rest: I just love this and it just makes it better for the baby to have more support. My 8 month old can't touch the highest setting yet, but probably within 6 months or so.
Toddler seat: I thought it was extra great that they include an adjustable back...there are 3 slots to put slide a "back" into the chair...that way you can match the length of the chair to your child's legs. My 4 year old is big enough that we removed the back and let him sit all the way back in order that is knees bend in the right place. But I can see where this would be a great feature for perfect fit through the years.
This really is a great chair for every possible use (infant, toddler, preschooler, traveling, having an extra seat if you have other kids over to your house). The system will seat 2 children at once (1 baby with tray and 1 older child OR 2 older children)
We love this...worth every penny!

One of my very favorite baby items

Reviewed by: B. Boudreau,
Review Date: 2009-09-13

I love this chair. We have a tiny kitchen and even one of those plastic boosters on a chair took up more space than we had to spare. I debated and debated whether this would work for us, and with fewer reviews than I would have liked, I went ahead and took the gamble. I'm SO glad I did.

When I pulled this out of the box, assembly was so simple and intuitive that I didn't even open the instructions. When installed on the table, it feels totally secure. I love, love, love turning my daughter to see whatever is going on around her as well as being able to face her to me for feeding. The fabric seat is made of a sturdy, lightly coated material that resists stains. Taking the seat off to clean is a little tricky, but I figured it out quickly (again with no instructions). I realized after removing it that I could have cleaned it just as easily (with a toothbrush) without removing the seat altogether. So from now on, I know to spot clean as needed and only remove the entire thing for SERIOUS messes.

One additional feature I love that isn't mentioned is that it has 3 metal hoops surrounding the seat that hold the fabric seat in place, but they double as toy-holders (you can attach links to attach toys to them). Genius! We always had to use the strap on the old seat if we wanted to attach a toy, which was a pain. The other great thing is that they rotate with the seat, so your baby can access them at any seat position.

I haven't traveled with this seat yet (aka, to restaurants) but I look forward to it. I am certain my daughter will love finally being at the table with us. I can't imagine why anyone would want a full high chair when they could have this. It's more innovative, efficient and portable than any other feeding chair I've seen. Can't recommend it enough!

With my first son we had the Chicco clip-on chair with the oh so cute hippo arms. It worked well enough, but by the time he outgrew it the thing was trashed - despite frequent cleanings. The reason was those super cute hippos provided cracks and crevices for baby food and it required constant scrubbings. Plus, it was difficult to keep a placemat underneath - and a pain to put it there - having to constantly unhook the chair.

With my second son I really, really wanted a nice chair that fit my decor but I just could not stand to spend $300 to get the one I wanted and I didn't want a big plastic hunk of junk in my dining room (even though I have the space). The 360 solves all of the problems of the lower-end model with 2 simple features - the eating tray which means I won't need a placemat! Yeah! And the 360 swivel which means that right now, while I have to feed my son, I can move him around to face me during feeding time. In addition, if I am done and cleaning up the kitchen I can leave him there and just twirl him around so he can see me.

I was tentative because there were so few reviews, but like the previous reviewer I took the plunge and was so glad I did. I saved $225 without sacrificing decor. Thanks Chicco!

This high chair is perfect for our family. When we sit down to dinner, I can rotate my 7 month old to face me so I can feed him his baby food. Once he is done, I can rotate him back toward the table to sit with the family through dinner. I'll also admit to being a normal family - the chair can rotate the other direction toward the TV as well. :)

The chair is very easy to take on and off the table. It does come with a portable mesh bag so you can take it with you to restaurants or to see family. (It's collapsible.)

The tray pops on and off for easy washing, and I just toss the seat into the washing machine when it needs it.

I received this chair yesterday and I love it already. I had a cheaper one (different brand), but the seams started ripping and I was worried that my son would fall out. I can tell this one is well made and will stand up to every day use (I have it hooked on my breakfast bar in the kitchen). I really like the clip on tray - it keeps my counter top much cleaner and is dishwasher safe! The seat is a snug fit for my 18-month, 28-pound son, but it keeps him seated properly. The seatbelt clip is a little tricky to unclasp, which is probably a good thing! I don't use the swivel feature, but I know it would have come in very handy when my son was an infant. Overall, I would recommend this to any parent who may not want a large high chair to take up floor space. I personally wouldn't take it to restaurants because it does require two hands to assemble and set up.

I ran onto this highchair by accident. I can't believe how small and flat this highchair folds. Since purchasing it a month ago I have probably used it 5 different times. We love it. It is so convienent to have a highchair in the back of our SUV ready to use. I have used it at an ice cream store which didn't have highchairs, my 8 year olds Valentine party, Grandmas house, and a friends house. It has a full size tray, and keeps my nine month old so content. A few cheerios on the tray, and he is happy. It also has the middle bar between the babys legs to keep baby from slipping. This has been 30 dollars well spent.

Pros - This is a fantastic value. We use this highchair every day - it is compact, small and very sturdy. You won't find any other highchair, for this price, that works as well.

Cons - The cover does not remove - you need to wipe it down well after every use. The tray will go in the dishwasher, but water seems to drain from it for a while after you take it out. Best to wipe it down and use the dishwasher sporadically.

Must have for infant/baby food training for Travel purposes

Refer to my review about the booster chair: http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Healthy-Care-Deluxe-Booster/dp/B0000DEW8N/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

I recommend that any parent (who can afford) should have the booster chair for home use and this folding high chair for travel purposes.

Imagine, you travel to someone's house or go on a nearby vacation or a restaurant - most times you don't find a good high chair. Or if you do find a high chair, that has not tray.

Babies love trays. They like to play with food/objects on the tray.

We bought this for that very reason and I always keep this in the trunk of the car. The side affect of this product is that it is best suited for babies over 8 months.

Go for the booster and high chair if you can afford!

Costco high chair

Can beat it for the price. Very stable. Especially at the legs, 4 plastic leg fittings come with it to keep the chair from tipping over sideways. Very handy since my baby started crawling and grabbing onto the highchair's legs and started yanking on it. The leg fittings keep the chair from falling over. Some complained of the seatback being too reclined. Again, it hasn't been an issue for my baby. She's only in it a short time for feeding.
